Die Gr\u00fcnder erz\u00e4hlen, was sie mit dem Kapital vorhaben.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Vor anderthalb Jahren entschieden sich die Bitpanda-Mitgr\u00fcnder f\u00fcr einen Pivot: Ihre App sollte k\u00fcnftig mehr bieten als nur den Handel mit Kryptow\u00e4hrungen. Hinzu kamen Rohstoffe wie Gold, die sich \u00fcber die Trading-App kaufen lie\u00dfen. Um den Plan voranzutreiben, hat das 2015 gegr\u00fcndete Startup aus \u00d6sterreich jetzt 52 Millionen Dollar eingesammelt. Investoren sind unter anderem Peter Thiels Valar Ventures, das auch in Fintechs wie N26, Transferwise und Qonto investiert hat, und der bekannte \u00f6sterreichische Wagniskapitalgeber Speedinvest.<\/p>\n<p>Anfang des kommenden Jahres will Bitpanda auch Aktien und Teilaktien anbieten und setzt damit auf das Erfolgrezept der <a href=\"https:\/\/financefwd.com\/de\/robinhood-community\/\">in den USA boomenden App Robinhood<\/a>. \u201eMit einem guten Produkt haben wir die Chance, zum Robinhood f\u00fcr Europa zu werden\u201c, sagt Mitgr\u00fcnder Eric Demuth. Ziel ist es, den Kunden auch den Zugang zu Aktienanlagen zu vereinfachen. \u201eDie meisten unserer Kunden haben vorher noch nie Kryptow\u00e4hrungen oder Gold gekauft\u201c, sagt der Mitgr\u00fcnder.<\/p>\n<p>Das Startup hat nach eigenen Angaben 1,3 Millionen Kunden, davon sind die meisten jedoch lediglich registrierte Nutzer der App, etwa 40 Prozent seien aktive Kunden, sagt Mitgr\u00fcnder Paul Klanschek im Gespr\u00e4ch. Die seien daf\u00fcr jedoch in jedem Fall profitabel f\u00fcr Bitpanda. \u201eEs ist schwer, mit unseren Produkten nicht profitabel zu sein\u201c, sagt er. Mit dem neuen Kapital soll es demn\u00e4chst auch mit dem Marketing richtig losgehen, bislang sei das Fintech weitgehend durch Weiterempfehlungen der Kunden gewachsen, sagt Demuth. Zudem plant das Startup die Expansion in M\u00e4rkte wie Frankreich, Tu\u0308rkei und Spanien.<\/p>\n<p>Zur Bewertung will sich die \u00f6sterreichische Fintech-Hoffnung nicht \u00e4u\u00dfern, auch wenn Demuth im September 2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.derbrutkasten.com\/bitpanda-demuth-unicorn-ipo\/?ref=articletext\">gegen\u00fcber dem Brutkasten noch gesagt hatte<\/a>, Bitpanda solle innerhalb eines Jahres zum Einhorn aufsteigen.
